Our Yoga Teachers

Valerie Flynn-Wintz

Valerie Flynn-Wintz is a yoga teacher, certified for restorative yoga.  She finds that gentle poses increase circulation and flexibility and renew vitality.  Valerie is a cancer survivor who was teaching gentle yoga six weeks after major surgery, while still undergoing radiation therapy. Valerie has been a health practitioner for more than twenty years, and has found her life's purpose in facilitating health for others.

Tina Ufford

Tina Ufford is a multi-talented yoga teacher who has been guiding us through restorative, meditative, and strength building practice for seven years. Tina has found her niche here with a gentle yet challenging take on basic yoga poses, called asana.

Tina says, "I like to run the class like more of a workshop, helping people with what they are troubled by that day, in the mind/body in that moment."

Tina's second career is massage therapy. She has held a Louisiana license for 10 years and is an instructor at the Moore Career College. In class you may receive a little foot massage while in Shivasana (lying down at the end of class for a 3-5 minute meditation), or be guided in some self massage, and maybe learn some new anatomy vocabulary!

Trish Little

As a licensed massage therapist, Trish realized one of the best ways to stay healthy and pain free was through mindful-movement. Building on her personal Yoga practice, Trish became a Registered Yoga Teacher under the guidance of Elan Adams at Spiral Branch Yoga and is registered with Yoga Alliance.

Taking her training a bit further, she is also a Curvy Yoga Certified
teacher to help empower Yogis of all abilities, sizes and ages in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. Trish has completed the Yoga For All certification and
Accessible Yoga training to promote inclusiveness and to help each student have a great Yoga experience, regardless of their level of physical ability.

When Trish is not doing massage therapy or teaching a yoga class, she enjoys practicing yoga, photography, hanging with her family and pets and road trips.

Beth Tomlinson

Beth has been practicing yoga for 18 years and is RYT 200 and Chair Yoga certified through Yoga Alliance.

Adhering to the belief that ANY body can do yoga, Beth specializes in gentle, mindful Hatha practice suitable for all ages and abilities.

Amanda Mays

Amanda Mays strives to present yoga as a lifestyle and an informed approach to living. She's a lighthearted, compassionate teacher whose classes are completely accessible yet encourage you to challenge yourself and get a little feisty with your perceived limitations. Amanda reminds us to laugh often, to let go of excessive self-judgment, and to never take ourselves too seriously. Her lighthearted approach is balanced by her creative, grounding, and intelligently sequenced classes with a focus on cultivating flexibility and strength. She adores that we will always be students of yoga and never masters.

Amanda has been practicing yoga and curiously exploring a holistic lifestyle for more than 20 years. She draws on these years of study to help guide clients and students toward optimal well being. Amanda is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance 500RYT.
