Seasonal Surrender

Saturday, October 28

9:30-11:00 am

At The Red Shoes

Just as the leaves surrender to the earth, this transitional season invites us to explore the art of surrender within ourselves.

Seasonal Surrender is a Yin Yoga experience designed to align you with the natural rhythms of autumn. Our practice during this season encourages a gentle release, letting go of the tensions and stresses that no longer serve us. In surrender, we discover our equilibrium or balance within the ebb and flow of life. During this rejuvenating session, you will be guided through deep yin poses, mindful breathwork, and meditation, allowing you to explore the gentle art of letting go.

Whether you're a seasoned yogi or new to the practice, we invite you to come as you are, surrender to the wisdom of autumn, and find your inner equilibrium.

Yin Yoga is a practice that is best done when the body is cold. If possible, ease into your day and avoid vigorous activity. This will ensure your muscles aren't warmed up and you fully experience the benefits of the practice. Additionally, Yin Yoga relies heavily on the use of props. Feel free to bring blankets, blocks, bolsters, cushions, journals, and any other comfort items, as limited quantities are available.

Faciltated by TK, TaKara Abuwi, of On My Mat Yoga with TK, who earned her 200-hour YTT at Yoga Renew Yoga Teacher Training and specializes in accessible, beginner-friendly flows. She co-founded the LTSG Yoga Retreat in 2017 and witnessed firsthand the healing power of sisterhood. She believes that when we “get into our body and out of our head” we emerge more healed versions of ourselves.
