Propose a Program

Ostara-rituals.jpg

Thank you for your interest in offering a program at The Red Shoes. Our goal is to cultivate offerings that nurture spiritual exploration, personal growth, and community connection.

We organize our programming into three distinct seasons:

  • Spring: January – April; proposals due by October 15th (of the preceding year)

  • Summer: May – August; proposals due by March 15th

  • Fall: September – December; proposals due by July 15th

Program proposals are considered 2–3 months in advance of each season. All proposals are carefully evaluated by our Programming Committee before a decision is made.

To ensure all programs align with our mission and values, we ask facilitators to keep the following in mind when proposing a program:

  • Our programs invite participants to reimagine the Self and explore personal growth, healing, and connection with others and the natural world.

  • Programs must create a welcoming space for all, rooted in empathy, respect, and a non-judgmental spirit.

  • We value shared humanity and deep, honest dialogue over division. Facilitators are expected to hold space with compassion and presence.

  • Offerings may include expressive arts, books, films, movement, meditation, or other means of meaningful connection and self-reflection.

  • We invite facilitators to draw from spiritual, psychological, and symbolic sources such as Jungian theory, dreamwork, myth, and contemplative practices.

  • We welcome programs that honor life’s natural rhythms and transitions, embracing mystery and the journey of becoming.

  • We are committed to making programs accessible to our diverse community.

  • We encourage offerings to be low-cost or donation-based when possible. The Red Shoes may be able to work with facilitators to offer sliding scale pricing or partial scholarships to participants. We ask all facilitators to approach pricing with equity and inclusion in mind.
