Join a Red Shoes self-study based on the new book Me and White Supremacy by Layla F. Saad.

This book creates access points to the places racism hides: within our beliefs; withing the structures that offer us comfort; and within the ideals with which we were raised.

This study will be challenging and will not be, as the author points out, "a feel good self-help" experience.  It's a time to commit to deeper levels of self-examination and active dismantling of our own participation in systems of oppression.

Be part of this new circle of awareness, Me and White Supremacy.  Order your book soon. The time is now, the work is hard. Together, in circle, we will transform the inner so it can be reflected in our humanity and in how we live together.

Fees for this class will be at your discretion, starting at $20 donation for the 8 week experience. If able to pay more, your contribution will support ongoing anti-racism and racial equity programs.  Scholarships available upon request.

Digital copies of this book are available on Amazon, and through Barnes and Noble. Print copies can be ordered but are currently unavailable.

Book Study - If Women Rose Rooted: The Journey to
Authenticity and Belonging

Wednesdays Began May 13
Ends July 8
1:30 pm

In this extraordinary book of myth, memoir and mentors, the author faces the wasteland of Western culture, the repression of women, and the devastation of our planet. She boldly names the challenge: to re-imagine women's place in the world, and to rise up, firmly rooted in our own landscape.

If Women Rose Rooted is inspiring, beautifully written and told in a personal way that will allow you to feel Blackie's pain, understand her failings, and grow with her awakening awareness.

Somewhere along the line, author Sharon Blackie realized she had lost herself - and so began her long journey back to authenticity, rootedness in place and belonging.

Facilitated by Debbie Morrill and members of this circle.

Please register online by May 12 noon and we will email to you the zoom link for class. If you are able, please pay by check or online.

"Dancing in the Flames gives us a remarkably rich and deep knowledge of the Dark Goddess. Her hidden presence in the psyches of men and women becomes visible through Marion Woodman and Elinor Dickson's perceptive insights. Seen and unseen, appreciated or denigrated, in history, myth, and culture as well as in individuals, the Dark Goddess carries transformative power and feminine wisdom, which are revealed in this beautifully conceived book that can affect the reader like a major dream or evocative poem."—Jean Shinoda Bolen, M.D.
