As summer settles in, we find ourselves reflecting on a season already rich with creativity, connection, and inspiration. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us for the opening reception of Expressions of Experience in early May. The evening was a beautiful celebration of courage, creativity, and community, bringing together artists, supporters, and friends to honor the stories and experiences of women through art.

This special exhibit features the work of 23 local women artists, each offering a unique perspective through visual expression. The artwork has transformed our space into a vibrant gallery of reflection, resilience, joy, and authenticity. If you were unable to attend the opening reception, there is still plenty of time to experience the exhibit. Expressions of Experience will remain on display throughout the summer, and many pieces are available for purchase. We invite you to stop by The Red Shoes, spend time with the collection, and support these talented artists.

We were also honored to celebrate the launch of Letter It Out Vol. 3, a hand-lettering and mental health book series curated by Jenn Lee Creates. This remarkable publication features essays and hand-lettered artwork from 25 contributing artists exploring themes of mental health, reflection, resilience, healing, and storytelling. The collection serves as a powerful reminder of the ways creativity can help us make meaning of our experiences and connect more deeply with ourselves and others.
Thanks to the generosity of the artists and organizers, proceeds from the launch raised $630Â to support The Red Shoes. We are deeply grateful for this meaningful partnership and for everyone who purchased a book, attended the event, or helped spread the word.
