Racheal Hebert, LCSW-BACS, is the Executive Director of The Red Shoes, bringing a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership, mental health, and community empowerment. A passionate advocate for fostering spaces where individuals can explore personal growth, spiritual connection, and healing, Racheal is committed to advancing The Red Shoes’ mission of inspiring authenticity and transformation.

Racheal’s journey with The Red Shoes began years ago when she served as Administrative Coordinator from 2007 to 2008. This role inspired her to become a social worker and establish Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response (STAR) in 2012, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual violence and promoting social change. Under her guidance, STAR became a vital resource providing advocacy, counseling, legal services to survivors of sexual trauma throughout Central and South Louisiana.

In addition to leading The Red Shoes, Racheal is deeply involved in the Baton Rouge community. She serves as Board Chair of Baton Rouge Community Radio Station, 96.9 FM WHYR, where she supports local voices and independent media. Racheal also leads a private practice, Radical Changes LLC, specializing in mental health services and trauma-informed care. Furthering her dedication to education and professional development, she serves as an adjunct faculty member at LSU’s School of Social Work, where she mentors the next generation of social workers.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor, Racheal integrates her expertise in mental health and leadership into all facets of her work. With her deep belief in the power of storytelling, connection, and community, she is leading The Red Shoes into its next chapter, honoring its legacy while expanding its impact. Through her vision and dedication, Racheal ensures The Red Shoes continues to be a vibrant and inclusive space for all who seek transformation and belonging.
