About the event

Join us in a facilitated circle dedicated to reflection, listening, and collective healing. In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, this Racial Healing Circle invites participants to explore the pain of racial injustice, the perseverance of communities who continue to resist and transform, and the shared responsibility we hold in shaping a more just future. Led by Gerri Hobdy, Director of Power Coalition Arts Framework, this multi-racial gathering creates a brave and compassionate space to witness one another’s stories, engage in honest dialogue, and share thoughtful insights about how we can strengthen and heal our community together. All are welcome to come with openness, humility, and a willingness to listen.

In addition, join us for a special one-day exhibit of Picture the Power, a statewide, juried traveling photography exhibition that highlights Louisiana’s ongoing fight for voting rights and democratic participation, presented by Power Coalition Arts Framework. Selected works…
