About the event

Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by being of service to the community during our MLK Day of Service event! The Red Shoes invites individuals, families, and organizations to come together for a day of outreach and connection, including:

  • Sandwich-Making for the Community Fridge - Help us create fresh, nutritious sandwiches that will be stocked in the local Community Fridge, providing free food for those in need.

  • Trunks of Treasure - Inspired by a "Trunk or Treat" concept, this unique outreach invites donors to bring new or gently used clothing, toys, home goods, and more to share from their car trunks. These treasures will be available for anyone in need—completely free.

  • Hot Meals Onsite - A volunteer will be onsite preparing warm, delicious meals to nourish our neighbors and bring comfort during this day of service.

How You Can Participate:

  1. Park and donate items for the Trunks of Treasure.
