Volunteer: Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

Second Tuesdays of Month @ 10 am-12 pm

Location: The Fraenkel Center, 10600 S. Choctaw Drive

There are many in need - you can help. The food bank counts on volunteers for over 20,000 hours of help each year. All food donated must be sorted and categorized for distribution. That is where we come in: we will meet at the food bank to sort food for 2 hours. Join our team, call us today to volunteer. (Closed-toe shoes.)

Volunteer: Business Mentors

The Red Shoes has a Lifting Loans Program offers low-interest micro-loans to women starting or growing a small business. One component of the program is a caring mentor. Mentors work with a recipient for twelve to twenty-four months.

At The Red Shoes

There is plenty of work to be done at our building: we welcome volunteers to help in our garden, in the library and in the office. There are also opportunities to represent The Red Shoes at events and fairs around town.
