Charlee Bolen

Program Coordinator

Charlee Bolen is a multidisciplinary artist working across drawing, painting, stained glass, welding, and mixed-media fabrication. She studied at Memphis College of Art and expanded her training through craft schools in Eureka Springs, where she deepened her connection to traditional craft processes and material exploration.

She has professional experience in stained glass fabrication and maintains a practice rooted in hands-on making and curiosity. Her work reflects an ongoing interest in exploring new mediums and ways of translating ideas through material.

For the past four years, Charlee has been active in the Baton Rouge art community through participation in local art markets and independent exhibitions. She has also grown her presence through social media, building an engaged audience around her work and creative process, with an expanding reach into New Orleans.

Her practice continues to evolve through curiosity and cross-disciplinary exploration. She is especially drawn to the quieter, inward-facing spaces of human experience—the ways people reflect, unravel, and make meaning within themselves as they move through change. Her work sits in that threshold between material and emotion, shaped by ongoing experimentation, growth, and an openness to what each medium reveals.
