About the event
What does it look like to create food systems rooted in equity, mutual aid, and community resilience? Join us for an inspiring talk with Margee Green, formerly of Sprout NOLA, an organization at the forefront of supporting farmers, growers, and neighbors in building just and sustainable food systems. Margee is currently the Statewide Director at Louisiana Food Policy Council. She will share insights on the challenges and opportunities around food access, and how re-wilding our businesses and practices can shift us away from outdated models toward more cooperative, community-centered ways of working. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies for supporting food justice, cultivating resilience, and re-imagining systems of care that nurture both people and the planet.
This program is presented by the Louisiana Wild Society as part of our commitment to fostering conversations that connect ecology, justice, and community well-being. Learn more about their work at https://www.louisianawildsociety.com/.
