Book Study: Depth Psychology and a New Ethic
Mondays

Oct 12 -  Nov 2
1-2:30 pm

How do we make ethical decisions when we become aware of the shadow at work within us? This is a the moral dilemma of our time, especially  in the year 2020.  Jung, who was deeply concerned with the archetype of morality said, "Morality is not imposed from the outside, we have it in our selves from the start-not from law, but our own moral nature."  The question that Neumann explores is how to integrate both our shadow and our moral nature when making ethical and moral decisions. Eric Neumann, one of C G Jung’s early followers, wrote Depth Psychology and a New Ethic, in response to discovery of the depth of human consciousness.
For the first class please read the forward, introduction and author's preface.

5 study groups have completed this study. You have the opportunity to join our sixth cohort of participants to invest in this learning process.

The Red Shoes eight-week self-study based on the new book Me and White Supremacy by Layla F. Saad.

This book creates access points to the places racism hides: within our beliefs; within the structures that offer us comfort; and within the ideals with which we were raised.

This study invites a challenging experience.  It's a time to commit to deeper levels of self-examination and active dismantling of our own participation in systems of oppression.

The time is now, the work is hard. Together, in circle, we will transform the inner so it can be reflected in our humanity and in how we live together.
