Discover the Feldenkrais Method®
The Feldenkrais Method® is a gentle, somatic approach to create more comfort, ease and well-being in your physical and mental body. Through mindful movement you can reduce pain, improve brain function, and enhance the body’s natural abilities, expanding its capacity for healing.
Awareness Through Movement® lessons (ATMs) are a synergistic series of structured movement sequences utilizing attention, perception and the imagination. By understanding and identifying your habits in movement, you will develop a greater awareness of what your body needs, and develop new patterns of movement which will support your authentic pace and range of motion.
*Participants can attend any or all classes, each is designed as a standalone lesson.
Facilitator Beth Tomlinson is a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and an International Association of Yoga Therapists member and certification candidate (C-IAYT candidate.) Join us for this transformative series built on the power of storytelling, healing and arts. Together we will examine the current world, explore our inner thoughts, and imagine a better future. We will unearth the biases and beliefs we subconsciously harbor and move toward healing by giving voice to our experiences. This creative process brings a sense of accompaniment, accomplishment and wellbeing to participants.
Session 1: The Power of Racial Healing
Through a series of story circles and healing arts methods we will peel back our own inner layers, become aware of our racial space and engage in collective racial healing. Poetry and story will lead us into dialogue about racial identity, race, and racism. Individual and group-based healing exercises will be followed by creating steps toward building a racially just world.

Experience a collective healing activity to shift the master narrative around gender-justice.

Tai Chi is a wonderful mind-body exercise. Mind-body exercises combine body movement with mental focus and slow breathing. This combination supports relaxation and improves health and fitness. Clinical studies have shown that the slow, circular, and flowing movements enhance muscular strength, flexibility, and stamina while improving balance and posture.
In this beginner’s level class, you will practice the elements of a 14 move Yang style Tai Chi form. Come join us for this interesting and unique form of exercise that can be practiced throughout life. This is a very gentle exercise for all skill levels and no previous experience required.
Facilitated by Lisa Langlois, PhD, DMs, Reiki Master, and Meditation Teacher
Certified as a Meditation Teacher by Natura Institute, Dr. Lisa has extensive practice and understanding of different meditation practices.
