This Is Your Life: A Legacy Writing Workshop

Saturday, December 3

10:30-12:30 pm

At The Red Shoes

How do you imagine that others will remember you when you're gone? While we are powerless over the reality that at some point we will all die, we do have control as to what we leave behind once we're gone. Legacy projects are a wonderful way to preserve the memories and traditions that represent your and your family's life story.  A legacy project passes on your values and hopes for the future to the generations to come.

Using writing prompts and exercises, we will begin to tell our stories and plant the seeds for an ongoing legacy project that you can continue to work on.

Facilitated by Robin Palmer Blanche. In addition to publishing 12 novels and being a produced screenwriter, Robin is an INELDA-trained end-of-life doula and legacy memoirist. Her website is youwereheredoula.com

Book Study: The Wisdom of Not Knowing

Mondays Weekly

Beginning December 5

noon -1:30 pm

Hybrid

Currently reading: Discovering a Life of Wonder by Embracing Uncertainty by Estelle Frankel

Are you ready to look more deeply into your life and sense the sacred in ordinary things? Join as we begin exploring a remarkable book, Care of the Soul: A Guide for Cultivating Depth and Sacredness in Everyday Life by psychotherapist, former monk and author Thomas Moore. In it, Moore uses archetypal psychology and mythology to examine the connections between spirituality and the issues facing individuals and society. While the message of this book regarding caring for yourself and your soul is straightforward, its implications might surprise you: you are a unique, complex individual and all aspects of that complexity must be allowed, even embraced, if you are to engage life with satisfying depth.

Facilitated by Joan McCaskill, MA, Spiritual Director.
