Spin a Yarn Art Experience

Saturday  August 7

10 am - 2 pm

Join us for a collaborative yarn fabrication workshop and create an art installation to be displayed here at The Red Shoes. Experience an inter-generational and inter-cultural gathering, engage in conversation, learn fun ways to create with yarn and wire, and participate in the emergence of a unique piece of art.

Recent events have changed our lives forever. We have experienced the full range of human emotions as we confronted political chaos, racial injustice and the personal isolation and fear of a global pandemic.  There are stories to be told, concerns to be expressed, hopes to be kindled and dreams to be shared. Like colorful threads of yarn, we will weave our stories together, making art and meaning.

All levels of experience with crocheting or working with yarn welcome, including no experience. We will learn from each other and express ourselves freely through engaging with the materials.  Materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own hook and yarn.
