The Key: Searching, Sharing and Living
Thursdays    January 12-26           6-7pm

Enter a safe place for men to meet that allows for authentic growth. Our greatest challenge is often not found in our human choices but rather in discerning the Divine Presence and guidance hidden deep within our lives. We hope to draw from the power of spirit present within each of us to find the courage to strip away the pretense of our false selves and discover new energies and joy grounded within our souls. Using Richard Rohr’s book Wild Men to Wise Men: Reflections on Male Spirituality as a guide, our group will encourage each participant to question, learn and grow. By coming together through prayer, fellowship and unconditional acceptance, we hope that our men's group will lead to lives lived fully in relationship with the Divine.

Facilitated by David Dragon, whose spiritual life was influenced deeply by an initiation as a Beloved Son of God in Chicago; and Tom Lastrapes, who has  participated in a variety of Richard Rohr programs including the Male Rites of Passage program.

Mother Night:  Myths, Stories and Teachings for Learning to See in the Dark - Book Study
Mondays         January 16– Feb 27    6:30-8pm

“When a story is told, it becomes night.” The stars come out and in the dark we wonder: where is the memory of who we really are, who sent us here and what is our work? Together we will listen to renowned storyteller and Jungian analyst Clarissa Pinkola Estes inviting us to walk with "Mother Night," the medial woman in ourselves who understands both our topside world of light and the underworld of shadow and soul. We will mine diamonds from the darkness of our unconscious, enabling us to see through the eyes of the soul as well as the ego.

Facilitated by Anne Bucey, a poet who earned an AB from Kenyon College and an MEd from Ga. State.
